The Bolsas y Mercados Españoles group acts as a Central Counterparty (CCP) through BME CLEARING, a company incorporated following changes to EU regulations, through the EMIR Regulation (European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EU) No 648/2012), requiring the separation of market trading and clearing activities.

BME CLEARING rules are articulated in the Rulebook, in the General Conditions on products and in the Circulars approved by the CNMV.

The BME CLEARING Rulebook regulates the composition, operation, trades and acting guidelines of the CCP.

The Rulebooks' complementary regulations are set forth in the General Conditions for each contract, and in the Circulars and Instructions issued by BME CLEARING
