BME Clearing is the company that runs the Central Counterparty (CCP) activities under the following segments:
BME Clearing, whose previous corporate name was MEFF, has been and authorized in accordance with the Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012, on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (EMIR).
EMIR establishes the obligation for trading and clearing activities to be separated.
As a result of the separation of functions, MEFF takes up the exchange activity
as the governing company for BME’s Derivatives Market and BME Clearing will act
as the CCP.
The aim of this web is to help users, to find all the available information regarding the structure and regulation of BME Clearing, as well as the complementary documentation.
